Lent is the historic and annual 40-day season (excluding Sundays) in the Christian calendar that culminates on the Saturday before Easter. For disciples of Jesus, it has served for a millenia as a critical time to remind us of the exaltation of Jesus, our sinfulness and need for a savior, the great grace of the gospel, our call to be witnesses of Christ, the reality of God’s presence for us in the midst of suffering, and the great hope we have in the resurrection.
This year, we invite you to spend time reading and reflecting on Jesus as the Suffering Servant in Isaiah 53 and praying earnestly for personal renewal, local intercession, regional awakening, and global mission.
