**We are monitoring the weather and will make a call on Saturday on whether to cancel our Sunday services. We'll put further updates here and on our social media feeds.**
The Summit Equipping Institute (SEI) exists to equip people with a deeper understanding of the Gospel, the Bible, theology, and leadership development in order to grow as disciples, and to do the work of ministry.

In Ephesians 4:12-13, Paul calls the leaders of the church “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” The SEI serves as a foundational tool for the equipping ministry of Summit Crossing - Limestone.

Through the SEI, we offer church-based biblical and theological education that is gospel-saturated, theologically rich, practical, and studied in community. Our hope is for participants to grow in an understanding and appreciation of the Gospel, gain practical insights for ministry, and develop as leaders.

What and Who is it For?

  1. Theological Deepening - anyone who wants to grow in an understanding of the Bible, theology, and the gospel would benefit from any of the Institute’s offerings.
  2. Leadership Development - anyone who is leading or desires to lead will benefit from the Institute.
  3. Ministry Training - anyone who wants to be equipped for the work of ministry or mission (vocational or not) is encouraged to participate in the Institute. You will be particularly encouraged to take the courses and available cohorts.

How does it Work?

Each of the 3 levels of the SEI are designed to target specific types of people and require increasing levels of commitment based on the level.

CLASSES  |  COURSES  |  COHORTS

Level 1 - CLASSES

These are the lowest level of commitment and work load. Classes require minimal to no weekly self-study, they are designed so that people can join anytime, and they are open to anyone who is interested in studying the Bible, basic theology, and/or how the Bible applies to specific topics. In addition, classes are structured to host new people who have not yet connected to a Missional Community.

Level 2 - COURSES

Courses are designed with a higher level of commitment and work load. They will require self study as well as collaborative learning times throughout the course. Each course will have its own syllabus and schedule and are designed for leaders in the church or serious students who are looking to develop deeper discipleship and theological understanding for the purposes of ministry.

  • Duration: Approx 10-15 weeks (3-4 months)
  • Cost: Typically $30-80 (Scholarships available)
  • Upcoming or Current Course

Level 3 - COHORTS

Cohorts are designed to equip people in specific ministry areas (Missional Community leadership, Elder/Deacon training, Church Planting, Missions training, etc.). Each cohort will build upon certain topics related to the cohort theme and require monthly assignments (12-20 hours of approximate monthly work) to be completed. Cohorts will meet bi-weekly for a teaching time and discussion.

Duration: Approx 3-6 months

Cost $150-$500 (Scholarships available)
